What we require of people who breed and sell animals.
Responsible breeding
Breeders on SleekClassified must breed responsibly: healthy, well-cared-for animals; no overbreeding; and accurate representation of breed, lineage and health. Puppies and kittens must meet minimum age and welfare standards under applicable law and our Animal welfare standards.
What you must disclose
Health-testing results where applicable, vaccination and worming records, and any known health conditions. Show the animal and, where possible, its parents or the environment it came from.
What is prohibited
Backyard mills, high-volume or unhealthy breeding, unregistered "papers" that are fake, and selling animals before they are legally old enough.
Verification
Breeder verification, where offered, checks identity and compliance with these standards. It is a signal — it does not certify the quality of every animal.
Enforcement
We act on reports of irresponsible breeding. Serious or repeated violations lead to removal of listings and account termination, and are reported to authorities where required.
